3.11 - Regulate your workload
Productivity isn't only about doing more. Just as often it's about doing less of the wrong things. A few questions to ask yourself regularly:
- Can any of this be postponed? Not everything that lands on your plate has to happen this week.
- Can any of this be delegated? If someone else can do it, even at 80% of your quality, sometimes that's the right answer.
- Do I need a break or a vacation? A tired person works slowly and badly. Time off isn't lost productivity; it's an input to future productivity.
Ask these questions often enough that the answers actually change your week.
