6.4 - Fighting addictions
Chapter 2.9 Addictions is the central chapter. Read it in full. The practical work also draws on:
- Chapter 2.1 Letting Go - the foundation work for the underlying material the addiction has been medicating.
- Chapter 2.5 Breathwork - reaches the body-stored material that fuels many addictions.
- Chapter 2.6 Psychedelics - in supervised therapeutic contexts, for treatment-resistant cases.
- Chapter 1.8 Cold Therapy & Breathwork - reliable nervous-system regulation, which reduces the felt need for self-medication.
- Chapter 1.4 Movement - physical practice is among the most effective addiction-quitting tools because it gives the body real sources of what the addiction was providing.
- Chapter 1.2 Parasites - for cravings (especially sugar, carbs, alcohol) and persistent relapse patterns with a physical pull that don't respond to the other work. Gut parasites disrupt the same dopamine and mood pathways the addiction is operating on.
For specific behavioral addictions (e.g. porn), see the dedicated section within Chapter 2.9.
