3.13 - Use negative energy as fuel

Anger, frustration, annoyance: these are forms of energy. The default is to either suppress them or act them out. There's a third option, which is to channel them into work.

When you're angry, get to your desk. Frustrated at someone? Open the task you've been avoiding. Annoyed at a situation? Use the activation to make progress on something you can actually control.

The same emotion that would have ruined an afternoon can produce a remarkable burst of focused output if you point it at the right thing. This isn't a long-term emotional health strategy (you still need to process the underlying feelings, see Part 2). But in the moment, few tricks are more useful.
