6.6 - Physical diseases
A great deal of chronic physical illness softens when the underlying inputs improve. For each condition, work upstream from the symptom.
- Chapter 1.1 Nutrition - the deepest single lever for chronic disease. Start with 1.1.4 (What to Stop) and 1.1.6 (Sugar).
- Chapter 1.1.3 Intermittent Fasting and 1.1.8 Longer Fasts - significant evidence for autoimmune conditions, metabolic disease, inflammation, and a long list of others.
- Chapter 1.2 Parasites - if symptoms are consistent and standard causes have been ruled out (with a doctor).
- Chapter 1.6 Visceral Massage - especially for digestive, hormonal, or pelvic conditions.
- Chapter 1.8 Cold Therapy - anti-inflammatory effects, immune support.
- Chapter 1.9 Sauna - cardiovascular health, longevity, immune function.
- Chapter 1.4 Movement - the universal medicine. Few chronic conditions don't improve with consistent movement.
- Chapter 1.10 Better Sleep - the foundation of recovery from any disease.
- Chapter 1.5 Releasing Tension - for chronic pain conditions specifically; the Sarno material in the reading list is essential.
- Chapter 2.1 Letting Go - chronic physical patterns often soften when the underlying emotional material is addressed.
Always work with a qualified clinician for diagnosis and serious conditions. The practices in this book are complementary, not a replacement for medical care.
